Issues and Trends - Reaching Out
After reading the assignment, I went to the website and tried to make connections with two Early Child Professional with no success. This attempt was done by email. After no response I decided to complete the alternate assignment.
I went on the website gobalfundforchildren. I enjoyed reading about the school girls performing poetry. I am a lover of poetry and I believe like music, it connects people from different cultures. Poetry soothes the soul and allows people to express their feelings.
This website is a great resource in Early Childhood because a lot of great information is posted.
When learning about Early Childhood, it is important to connect with different people because we can be each others' resources and learn some different ways to educate children. One tip that I have learned that you can learn from everyone.

Tarry I really enjoyed reading your post. I also did not have any luck getting in touch with two early childhood professionals. I thought it would be easy but it was not. The second website that was given to us also did not work for me. I also researched the global fund for children website. This website was intended for at risk children. It seems as if the website and organization I chose will be very interested. I am looking forward to interacting with my classmates.
ReplyDeleteHi Tarry, this is all new to me and I also tried to contact through email. I did get one reply back but I am not sure that it will be an accomplished task. I am going to try the alternate route. I look forward to interacting with you as well I believe this is a great opportunity for us to connect as classmates. And, thanks for the offer of assistance.
ReplyDeleteTarry, I also thought it would be easy to make contact with other early childhood professionals in another country. I see that we all are having the same issues. I did receive different websites from the UNICEF Office of Research from Italy to investigate. Eric Atmore from South Africa did respond to my email and sent me a great article. He also said that he will continue to send me other information. I got his website from The Global Alliance of NAEYC. I probably will have to do something from the alternate websites as well. At least we know that we are all in this together and as you stated, we can learn from everyone.

I really enjoyed reading your blog. I particularly liked your thoughts on poetry and how you felt this would help you to connect to other educators around the world. This is an interesting approach and and I look forward to following your blog in the weeks to come.
